Practice makes perfect. We’ve all heard it and rolled our eyes, but the reason so many people say it is it happens to be true. Practice can even make you feel better about job interviews, believe it or not, and that’s why Law Career Services has a Mock Interview Program.During the week of March 5-9, 2012, you will have the opportunity to practice your interviewing skills in a way that’s better than talking to your bathroom mirror. Area attorneys, many of them alumni, will be conducting mock interviews that will help you become more comfortable with the interview process without the anxiety of having a potential job on the line. The interviewer will also give you constructive feedback that can be helpful in the future.
Registration will take place through Symplicity during February. More information, including the interview schedule and interviewer bios, will be posted in the Document Library as it becomes available, so stay tuned! Please note to participate in the program, you will need: 1. An Approved Resume and 2. Attending the LCS Program: Creating Connections
No one likes to do job interviews, but having the skills to do them well is vital to landing your dream job (or any job). Those skills get developed in one simple way – through practice – so plan on participating in the Mock Interview Program this spring.
