YLS Repack Night at Greater Chicago Food Depository- March 28
Spend an evening serving the community while getting to know other young lawyers! The YLS needs volunteers to work at the Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD) on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Volunteers will work on the repacking line inspecting, cleaning, and sorting donated products for distribution to soup kitchens, pantries, and homeless shelters. Volunteers must wear long pants, shirts with sleeves, and closed-toe shoes with nonskid soles. The GCFD is located on the Southwest side of Chicago (not far from Midway Airport). To volunteer (and receive driving directions), email Project Coordinator Kenya Jenkins-Wright at kenyaj@gmail.com.
