Spring has sprung so guess what that means? Asparagus is on sale.
Asparagus may be eaten with the fingers if the stalk is crisp and not flopping over like a wet noodle. In formal dining, or if it is covered in sauce or dressing, it is best to eat asparagus with a fork and knife.
Whether you pick it up or cut it up, asparagus is a good source of vitamins, protein and fiber. And it tastes way better than brussel sprouts.
Thank you to our colleagues at the Culture & Manners Institute for sharing this bit of wisdom!
