Sampling of the Music of George and Ira Gershwin - October 28
Join the CBA Barristers Big Band on October 28 at 6:00 p.m. for a fabulous romp through some of the best known and loved works of George and Ira A Gershwin. The free concert will highlight many gems from the numerous Broadway musicals scored by the Gershwin brothers, including Strike up the Band, Lady Be Good and Someone to Watch Over Me. Movie musicals favorites will also be on the concert bill, including A Foggy Day in London, Nice Work if You Can Get It, 'Swonderful and How Long Has This Been Going On? And, no Gershwin concert would be complete without selections from Porgy and Bess, with the Band debuting an original arrangement of Bess You is My Woman.
