Join us for the Meet the Public Service Organizations Reception on Tuesday, November 8 from 5:30-7:00 PM at Loyola University-Chicago School of Law. Mix and mingle with various organizations to learn more about their missions and begin to build your network. A list of registered employers is available in the Symplicity Events. LCS co-sponsors this event with the Chicago Area Law School Consortium. PLEASE NOTE: This is a networking event, not a resume drop. You are encouraged to have copies of your resume in the event that an employer requests it, but this is primarily a networking event.
DePaul Adult Student Week is celebrated November 7-11, with events on professional development, financial fitness, and culminating with special commemorations of Veterans Day. Of special interest to law students will be the College Cost, Reduction and Access Act presentation on Wednesday, November 9th at 5 p.m. in 343 O'Malley by Associate Director Alisa Rosales, which will provide information on Income Based Repayment and Federal Loan Forgiveness. More events are posted in Symplicity and in the University calendar.
Drop-In Advising continues throughout the semester. You can stop by for ten minutes during drop-in advising on most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. See the calendar below for this week's schedule and the upcoming schedules are available in Symplicity.
Job Search Material Review. Do you want your cover letter reviewed? Or have a resume reviewed after your initial one for the academic year has been approved? Just email the document to your advisor so she can review that for you. Please still expect the typical 3-5 business day turnaround.
