Networking for the Shy
Our office often reminds students and alumni that networking is no more than making friends, though with a professional bent. Even the most shy person has a network already and this article underscores easy places to start. The Law Career Services Resource Library also has various books that may help you, such as Donna Gerson's Building Career Connections: Networking Tools for Law Students & New Lawyers, Susan Sneider's A Lawyer's Guide to Networking, Bryan Garner's The Legal Career Guide, and Kimm Walton's Guerilla Tactics for Getting the Legal Job of Your Dreams.

Federal Judges Still Posting Clerkships
As a quick reminder, federal judges continuously post clerkship opportunities throughout the year. Some of these positions are only temporary, or come about very quickly due to resignations so make sure you are receiving the weekly email update from the OSCAR system, or better yet, checking a couple of times a week. For example, one clerkship was posted on January 19th, and is closing on the 29th.
