We continue to wish the best of luck with all of your exams and end of semester activities! Our office is open during exams and throughout the summer. Please note that due to NATO-related University Loop Campus closures, our office will not be open on Friday, May 18th or Monday, May 21st.

 Monday, June 18, 2012: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel: Washington, 1150 22nd Street, NW, Washington, DC

 The purpose of the event is to bring together legal employers and diverse, second-year law students who are interested and committed to practicing law in the DC metropolitan area after graduation. It is a tremendous opportunity for you to network and circulate resumes before the start of the fall recruitment season in an informal setting.  Each employer will have a table where they can speak with interested students about their firm, its culture, and to help you make informed decisions.  There will be a large mix of representatives from firms, public interest organizations, and government agencies in attendance.

Baker Donelson Diversity Scholarship Applications Due June 22nd

 Baker Donelson is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where the individual differences among us are understood, respected, appreciated and recognized as sources of strength of the Firm. These qualities enrich the environment in which we work. With this in mind, Baker Donelson will again award three scholarships to diverse law students who will complete their first year of law school by June 2012. Recipients will be awarded a six-week, salaried 2L Summer Associate position for the summer of 2013 in one of our following offices: Birmingham, AL; Orlando, FL; Atlanta, GA; Baton Rouge and New Orleans, LA; Jackson, MS; Chattanooga, Johnson City, Knoxville, Memphis and Nashville, TN; or Houston, TX.  Additionally, each recipient will be awarded $10,000 which will be paid prior to the student's third year of law school to help defray the cost of law school tuition and related expenses.
