US Attorney's Office - Northern District of Illinois Spring Interns

Are you interested in serving as a spring intern with the U.S. Department of Justice - United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois?  Job #15026 in Symplicity has the latest information for their Spring 2013 program, including a newly updated application deadline of September 25, 2012.  Of note, applications must be sent by mail, so you will want to plan ahead.

OCI Bids for Sessions 5/6 Due Friday

The final major On Campus Interview (OCI) Program submission deadline is fast approaching! 

All OCI Session 5 and 6 bids (application materials) are due THIS Friday, August 24 at Noon.  Log into Symplicity to submit your applications/bids.  OCI is a great opportunity to get a jump start on 2013 summer associate positions; it’s never too early to plan ahead. 

Illinois Attorney General's Office

Internships are a great way to gain some experience during the school year.  Although the Illinois Attorney General's Office does not pay, their office can work with you to work with our Field Placement Program for law school credit.  They have several spots open in various bureaus including Public Interest (specifically Antitrust, Special Litigation, Civil Rights), Criminal Appeals, Consumer Fraud and Government Representation (a great place for aspiring litigators, esp., those with a 711 license).  For more information, check out the Jobs Page.

 When it comes to writing a great resume, there are no hard and fast rules or specific formats that you should adhere to; however, your resume should be targeted to each specific job that you are applying to. In addition, it must be concise, clear, command attention and stand out from the pack.

PSLawNet is Becoming PSJD!

PSLawNet is becoming PSJD! PSLawNet is the premier career center and jobs database for law students and lawyers on public service career paths.  On August 27th, PSLawNet will become PSJD, a redesigned website that retains all of PSLawNet's content but that adds easier navigation, enhanced searching, and new tools for job-seekers and employers alike.  PSLawNet users will be able to log in to PSJD with existing PSLawNet login credentials, and our job-seeker "email alerts" will continue uninterrupted.
