Networking through Conferences

Conferences are a fabulous opportunity to network and meet practitioners, legal scholars and professors, and fellow law students. Between attending committee meetings, there are usually CLE offerings to learn more about practice areas and hot topics. Most student registrations are greatly reduced and offer listservs to find other students to share hotel expenses. For example, did you know that this year's ABA Annual Meeting will be held right here in Chicago at the end of July? Some, like the American Constitution Society offer fellowships. Other conferences, such as the NLLSA Annual Conference (hosted by DePaul's LLSA Chapter this coming fall) and Federalist Society Student Symposium are specifically for students.
