On July 26, 2011, the annual application process for the United States Department of Justice Attorney General's Honors Program opened. Their website is full of great information about eligibility requirements, participating divisions, and an application tips/checklist, and much more. This application is open until September 6, but those graduating students interested in this opportunity should not wait until Labor Day weekend to begin this application, as there are many parts, and small pieces of information you'll be gathering about yourself, your aspirations, and your accomplishments. You are encouraged to consider your options in preferencing the divisions of the department carefully, and Associate Director Alisa Rosales will be happy to discuss those with you in light of your interests and credentials so call the office to make an appointment today.
Don't forget that many other agencies also hire entry-level attorneys through Honors Programs, and a recent DePaul alumna is serving in the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's program (selected for the one slot out of more than 1200 applicants). For more information about the NRC or other Honors programs, please visit the Honors & Internships Handbook (newly updated login/password located in the Symplicity document library).
