We're looking for positive and proactive law students to provide us with feedback from the student body as well as supplement the work of the SBA Career Services Liaison. The Cook County State's Attorney's Office (CCSAO) selects to conduct interviews on a limited number of campuses for its permanent postgraduate positions, and DePaul is one of the few. Per their policy, if you are interested in pursing their postgraduate positions you are REQUIRED to participate in our on-campus process, the Fall Employer Recruitment Program (FERP). If you wish to pursue this opportunity, you must complete ALL the steps necessary to register and bid by NOON on Wednesday, August 31. Please see the Symplicity Announcements for more details on those requirements.
FERP Update! The major changes to the FERP process are detailed in the FERP Announcements in Symplicity, with the FAQ document supplementing process information and the FERP Orientation Video. Though the bidding for Phases I & II have passed, you can still register for and bid for employers coming on campus in Phases III & IV. Those deadlines are:
- Wednesday, August 17: Registration for Phase III. Bids are due for Miami-Dade Public Defender (separate Phase for this joint-interview to be held with other local law schools)
- Friday, August 19: Bids due at NOON (local to DePaul)
- Wednesday, August 31: Registration AND Bids due at NOON (local to DePaul) for Phase IV (This is the ONLY Phase for which registration and bids are combined.)
- If subsequent Phases are needed, we will inform everyone who has registered for FERP directly, as well as post that information to the Symplicity Announcements, the blog, twitter, and this newsletter.
