Alliance for Women Public Service Event - March 1
The AFW will host "Pathways to Success in Public Service" on Thursday, March 1, 2012 to discuss the varying career paths available to attorneys in public service. The following industry leaders will share their stories about the rewards and challenges they have faced in their careers and tips for how you can find your own path in public service: Jessica Arong O’Brien, Illinois Department of Revenue; Jennifer Gonzalez, Office of the Cook County State’s Attorney; Alexandra Holt, Budget Director, City of Chicago; and Roxanne C. Busey, Baker & McKenzie, LLP (moderator). The program will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Baker & McKenzie LLP, 300 E. Randolph St., Suite 5000. Lunch will be provided. 1.75 IL MCLE Credit. Most Fit Lawyer Competition - March 10
Are you Chicago's most fit lawyer? Find out by participating in the Young Lawyers Section's Most Fit Lawyer Health and Fitness Expo and Competition on Saturday, March 10, 2012. Participants will learn the basics of exercise through demonstration and have the opportunity to compete in six events that will measure speed, strength, power, endurance, and agility. 11th Annual Barristers Big Band Benefit Ball - April 21
All members of Chicago's legal community are invited to attend the 11th Annual Barristers Big Band Benefit Ball on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at The Standard Club, 320 S. Plymouth Court, Chicago. The fun and affordable evening will be filled with great food, fantastic company, the Barristers Big Band’s swinging sound, dance lessons, a dance contest, and lots of dancing. Tickets are only $50. Association Luncheon with Meet the Press Moderator David Gregory - April 25
All members are cordially invited to an Association Luncheon featuring David Gregory, moderator of “Meet the Press,” on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. The event will be held at The Standard Club, 320 S.
